Aldon's Leafy Greens is a Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) located at the Urban Art Farm in Fair Oaks, CA. We use their nutrient dense lettuces, micro-greens and herbs that are often on your plate within hours of harvest. We especially appreciate their emphasis on giving back to our community with food contribution and education.
Azolla Farm, located twenty miles from Sacramento in Pleasant Grove, is a farm built on a shared passion for local food, hard work, and a commitment to organic farming practices and ethical land stewardship. They grow many varieties of heirloom tomatoes, a variety of other high quality produce, and some rare edible greens we love.
Delta Farm, LLC provides us with sustainably-raised, pastured meat. Stewards of the land, the farm strives to limits its impact on the farm’s landscape. Nesting boxes encourage the local population of bats, owls and hawks to control pests naturally. Composting recycles waste back out into the pastures, enriching the land naturally.
Operated by Tim Rohrer, a Polyface Appretice, Full Barn Farms is an agriculture cooperative specializing in pastured meats and land regeneration. Hank’s Hens and All Things Good is a two-acre homesteading operation in Rio Linda. Blessed with rich soil, the farm raises hens and grows produce including fruit and herbs. We get their farm fresh eggs and seasonal produce year round, and so can you. Visit their farm stand or stop by the farmer’s market where you can also get their prized teas.
Nestled in the hills by Folsom Lake, Laughing Duck Farm’s focus is on sustainability, heritage/rare breed and dual purpose animals supplying meat and eggs, seasonal vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, goat milk soap, nutrition, and education through classes and Permaculture consulting. What we most look forward to are owner Kathryn MacRobert’s weekly visits to deliver herbs and make all of the bouquets displayed throughout the restaurant!
A third generation farmer, in a bountiful valley located near the quaint town of Camino, Patrick’s Garden provides us with distinctive and antique varieties of berries and vegetables of notable quality and freshness. You will often find this produce in what we are making, and you can also find Patrick’s at Sacramento’s farmer’s markets.
Plum Blossom Farm, located in the hills of beautiful Sonoma County, is a compassionate farm that is the “forever home” to a small flock of sheep, dogs, ducks, and chickens. We are lucky to receive a steady supply of the farm’s duck eggs for our famous amuse-bouche. You can support the farm by purchasing their useful, beautiful felted products.
Riverdog Farm is a 450-acre certified organic, diversified family farm located in the Capay Valley. that grows vegetables, fruits, nuts, and raises chickens and pigs. A system of compost, crop rotation, cover cropping, and hedgerow planting keeps the soil healthy and promotes a healthy ecosystem. We love their produce!
Tin Roof Farm, located in Loomis, is a micro-farm specializing in fire-roasted chiles, a variety of sweet and hot peppers, eggs, and poultry. Look for Mickey and Roxanne at the Auburn Farmer’s Market where they roast peppers from the farm while you wait. All we can say is “gotta have ‘em!”
